Our Favorite Fitness Trackers Right Now

So many fitness bands, so little time to figure out what they have to offer. Here’s a trio of options you can’t go wrong with—find the one that’s perfect for your lifestyle and level of activity.

Garmin Vivofit Fitness Band
Key features:
• The band’s Move Bar detects inactivity and motivates you to get out of your seat, even for just a quick walk.
• It uses two replaceable coin cell batteries that last up to a year, rather than having to be charged daily or weekly with an adapter.
• Monitor your quality of sleep, including total sleep hours as well as periods of movement and restful sleep.
• You can use the Garmin Connect app to track your fitness progress, join online challenges, and earn virtual badges.

Ideal for: Desk-bound employees; fans of friendly competition; anyone who’s always forgetting their device charger

Jawbone UP24
Key features:
• The Smart Coach tool takes all the personal info it gathers and spits out customized sleep, fitness, and health goals (drink more water, go to bed earlier, etc.).
• A built-in accelerometer tracks the number of steps you take/the distance you travel by foot as well as how much and how well you sleep.
• The accompanying free smartphone app, called UP, tracks your food, drink, calorie, and nutrient intake—scan each item’s barcode or log your meals manually.
• The app’s Smart Alarm tool gently wakes you during the best possible moment of your sleep cycle, meaning you’ll wake up feeling refreshed.

Ideal for: Restless sleepers; stylish techies; people who carry their smartphone 24/7

Withings Activité Pop
Key features:
• The Pop is one of the most subtle-looking fitness trackers on the market—it’s actually an analog watch with a plethora of built-in tools.
• It runs on a lithium watch battery, so you don’t have to recharge it every few days. The battery it comes with should last you about eight months (or longer!) before needing to be replaced.
• This device syncs with an app called Health Mate, which acts as a life coach by encouraging you and your family and friends to lead a healthier lifestyle.
• If you get a jolt of energy—like if you’re on a walk and break into a sprint—the Pop automatically logs it as running. Not all fit bands track your movements with such accuracy.

Ideal for: Stop-and-go runners; compulsive time-checkers; those who don’t want to wear a typical-looking fitness tracker

I like the info from your Web site on 3 Fitness Trackers, but I would like to see few more trackers listed, may be 3 to 4 more trackers. I believe data accuracy is my most important factor in selecting one. I learned that a lot of trackers are not accurate, so data collected is not useful. 2nd Factor is the Sleeping Cycle features, it should track my quality of sleep if it can track REM, the entire sleep cycles plus how many total cycles happened in 1 nite. 3rd: Tracking workouts- calories burned, heartrate, how long @ different rates, Is it 75%, 80% or 90% of my max. heartrate. 4th: Price of tracker + Realibility. Thanks.
